Black Music is a thrilling debut featuring unique voices, where in spite of fear and terror there is still space for friendship, compassion and even love. Thirteen-year-old Michael, who has just moved to a well-to-do neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro, is kidnapped by a gang of young Brazilian rappers looking for easy money. His life now lies in the hands of his abductors… This experience will forever change the lives of those involved.

In De cada amor tu herdarás o cinismo (“From Every Love Story you'll Only Inherit Cynicism"), Dino flees from his tedious marriage into the arms of young, vibrant Adelaide. Together, they plunge into their new exciting life of sex and rock'n'roll. But soon, the affair becomes an impossible love story… The vivid descriptions of bohemian Rio de Janeiro interlaced with references to the music of the 1970s render this an extraordinary novel.
